I have taught a number of extra-curricula enrichment classes to elementary-aged children and have tutored children of this age.

I spent 3 years (from 2008 to 2011), tutoring elementary-aged children at non-profit, 826 Valencia.

In Summer 2009, I taught two ‘Author Day’ sessions about character creation to children aged 5-9 years at 826 Valencia Writing Centre.

In Summer 2010, I taught a 4-session enrichment workshop titled, Magical Monsters and Curious Creatures, also at 826 Valencia Writing Center, during which I showed a group of children how to create a character and feature it in a book with a touch-and-feel ending for younger children.

More recently, from January 2019 to July 2019 I taught weekly after-school tinkering classes for The Renegade Girls Tinkering Club, teaching STEAM to 5-8-year-old children through a variety of fun and educational projects.

I currently do volunteer reading with new readers at a primary/elementary school.
